Between ambition and reality we prefer the present.
And that which we don’t have, we will go out and take.

Substance is no longer a chess game of role-playing and names. The names are not important. They disappear because it is the art of the present which puts them into play. It acts. It strikes. Stylish. Clear. The dialectic is unravalled between images and words, action and inter-action. Colors which are alive because we ourselves are alive. The dialectic is born with just one word: occupation. This is the birth of “AO! Arte òkkupa”: 47th Floor, Via Santa Maria Maggiore. Roma.

The 47th Floor has been liberated, see?, until the 6th of October, 2004. Then we’ll be on our way. No fixed abode. Fixed/Prefixed. There are so many cultural spaces to be freed from the “logic” of art as mere observation. Passive. And art seen as places that don’t even exist because this is, that is. So let their be participation. Let there be widespread participation. Now, the project: avenues of interchange without interruption. To each his own communication. And his own art. Just a few steps away, new levels of interaction in which to practice relations. Effective/Collective. No longer collateral from a borderline already relegated to the margin. Write down these three words: direct semantic signals.

Spin. Let yourself be spun. Participate. Using the on line blog. Offline. Occupy these spaces with us and those to come. Write. Color. Draw. A leap of faith into the future with arms open wide for balance. We’re coming to take what belongs to us. If you open your hand and count the numbers backwards, that’s where we are. We are here. And you?

Tra l'ambizione e la realtà preferiamo il presente.
E quello che non abbiamo, ce lo andiamo a prendere.

La sostanza non è più una partita a scacchi dentro un gioco di ruoli. E i nomi. I nomi non sono importanti. Scompaiono perchè è l'arte del presente che si mette in atto. Agisce. Colpisce. Di stile. Chiaro. La dialettica si snoda tra immagini e parole e interazione ed azione. Colori che vivono perche' siamo vivi. La dialettica si nutre di una sola parola: occupazione. "AO! arte òkkupa" parte da qui. 47th Floor. Via di Santa Maria Maggiore. Roma. Loro malgrado.

47th Floor luogo liberato. Hey, capito? Fino al prossimo 6 Ottobre 2004. Poi ce ne andremo. Non un luogo fisso. Fissato. Prefissato. Ma luoghi tanti luoghi di cultura da slegare dalla logica dell'arte come mera osservazione. Passiva. E arte come luoghi che non esistono affatto perchè questo è quello è. E allora partecipazione sia. E che sia partecipazione diffusa. A questo punta il progetto. Percorsi di interscambio senza sosta. Ad ognuno la sua comunicazione. E la sua arte. E lì a due passi piani d'incontro dove praticare relazione. Effettiva. Collettiva. Non piu' collaterale di una periferia che è già margine. Segnatevi queste tre parole: segni semantici diretti.

Girate. Fate girare. Partecipate. On line sul blog. Offline. Occupate con noi questo luogo e i luoghi a venire. Scrivete. Colorate. Disegnate. È un salto in avanti con le braccia larghe a tenere l'equilibrio. Veniamo a prenderci semplicemente quello che ci spetta. Se apri la mano e conti un conto alla rovescia noi siamo lì. Noi ci siamo. E voi?
