Between ambition and reality we prefer the present.
And that which we don’t have, we will go out and take.
Substance is no longer a chess game of role-playing and names. The names
are not important. They disappear because it is the art of the present which
puts them into play. It acts. It strikes. Stylish. Clear. The dialectic is
unravalled between images and words, action and inter-action. Colors which
are alive because we ourselves are alive. The dialectic is born with just
one word: occupation. This is the birth of “AO! Arte òkkupa”:
47th Floor, Via Santa Maria Maggiore. Roma.
The 47th Floor has been liberated, see?, until the 6th of October, 2004.
Then we’ll be on our way. No fixed abode. Fixed/Prefixed. There are
so many cultural spaces to be freed from the “logic” of art as
mere observation. Passive. And art seen as places that don’t even exist
because this is, that is. So let their be participation. Let there be widespread
participation. Now, the project: avenues of interchange without interruption.
To each his own communication. And his own art. Just a few steps away, new
levels of interaction in which to practice relations. Effective/Collective.
No longer collateral from a borderline already relegated to the margin. Write
down these three words: direct semantic signals.
Spin. Let yourself be spun. Participate. Using the on line blog. Offline.
Occupy these spaces with us and those to come. Write. Color. Draw. A leap
of faith into the future with arms open wide for balance. We’re coming
